One night I had a dream of falling in love with a ghost. It was a girl, but at the end of my dream i got to know i was actually loving a ghost but not a real human. That inspired me to write this. I had developed few scenes, but the soul of story is inspired from my dream. 

Ennadi Maayavi Nee 

Story: Vijay & Smruthi has been in a relationship for a while.

 The story starts from the part where both of them going on a ride on Vijay's bike and having a conversation that both of them having their own hectic time at the office so they wouldn't get enough time to spend together in the coming days. When they both planning to tackle this situation, Vijay already had suggested an idea to shift her house in his apartment saying that there's a house which has yet to get occupied. So it would be better if she and her family make a shift there so that they both can meet secretly on the terrace after their office time. As a reply to that, she said plans have been made, may be in a week they might shift there….ther...their... When she's about to convey this, a tragic accident occurs to them. 

As people around them gathered and started murmuring, ambulance siren whoops around, both were taken to the hospital, we could hear the hospital atmosphere noises slowly the crowd voices gets faded out and a doctor says that "Orey nalla vishyam Ivar helmet potrundhanala uyir thapichadhu dhan, innonu, ivaruku thalaila adipatta naala, past la nadandha oru sila vishyangal marandhurukalam, but poga poga seri aaidum (Though he's hit on his head even after wearing a helmet which saved his life, he temporarily might have lost few incidents from his memory, no need to worry those lost memories might come back at any given time. One thing just makes sure he doesn't stress himself much). He would be awake in some time, you can take him to his home. 

His friend takes him to his room, they made sure they didn't want to stress him about the accident on what happened and how it happened. They stayed with him for a while to give him all the moral support that their friend Vijay needed. 

On a fine rainy morning around 5.30 am, Vijay woke up from his disturbed sleep & decides to get some fresh air from his balcony rainy view, as he walked along the warranda to the balcony, he could listen to diesel engine vehicle sound from the ground floor, he just casually looks down from there he could see a family making a shift to one of the flats in his apartment. It was none other than his girlfriend Smruthi's family. He just casually seeing them from his balcony and goes inside his room strategy is that Vijay couldn't recall any memories he made with her, he couldn't able to recognize the love of his life. As the accident caused him to forget his past one-year memory.

Meanwhile, Vijay enters his house to get back his sleep, the power goes off and his phone started ringing (Ennadi maayavi nee ringtone famous Tamil song from Vada Chennai movie). Then he hears a girl's voice in his house entrance it was Smruthi's. Though Vijay might have forgotten what had happened to him in the past but Smruthi isn't. After hearing a girl's voice, he just walks towards his entrance but couldn't see anyone, as she walked down the steps and Vijay thought this newcomer might have looked for someone in this morning, he whispered himself and went back again. 

Every day, Vijay after completing his work he goes upstairs and listens to his favorite songs from his playlist, he gets grooved and falls into a romantic mood whenever he listened to the Ennadi Maayavi nee song & he will be started Humming the song. That song is to be his favorite one, He's a singer basically, one fine day Smruthi had fallen in love with Vijay only after seeing him perform this song on his college cultural stage. From that moment, whenever Smruthi is around, he never fails to sing that song and dedicate it to her. 

As soon he completes singing his favorite song on his terrace, he could see a girl clapping her and appreciating him for his singing. It was Smruthi who had come to see him as a stranger, as the doctor said that anything which shocks him or thought which makes stressful might lead him to some consequences,so she decided to have a casual conversation with him. She believed that one day she could able to make him recall all the lost memories in the past. 

 

The next day morning, he casually walks towards the front gate of his apartment gate, as Smruthi walks in with having a handbag on her shoulder and both pass a smile while crossing each other. 

As the days get passed Smruthi and Vijay started having a conversation on their terrace at night daily, the jamming sessions of Ennadi Maayavi Nee continue day by day. All the daytime he has been having only one dream that when the night would come when he would go to that terrace and would be having a conversation with her. This was all running in Vijay's mind.

 Sometimes his friends on seeing him at the terrace or seeing him in their room always urged him to reveal that what had happened to him and what he's been doing. But, whenever they tried to do so the doctor's advice would be running on their mind or might get distracted by some other external factors for that matter. So they have decided to stay calm and thought that let him realize when the time comes. One fine day he confessed to his friends that he had fallen in love with a girl named Smruthi who's his new apartment mate. They both have been together at the terrace for quite a few days and today he's about to make his love confession to her tonight. On hearing this his both the friends get shocked and started running from his house, as he couldn't understand why they have been running. But noticing from a distance that both of his friends were having a conversation with Smruthi on the ground floor and on seeing this Vijay sparked up and started running towards them, he thought that both the friends might have confessed his love to her even before he does soon after he catches them, they had almost completed the conversation and started looking at the terrace and him the next, while his friends depart, she also started moving fast on seeing him. He's upset indeed he thought she wouldn't come to their regular meeting spot tonight. As his friends might have babbled her about his love. But, she came & their conversation continued, he didn't know what his friends had confessed to her in the morning,so until she reacts he decided to stay calm but fortunately he couldn't. On that night he confessed to her that somewhere he had got an unbreakable bond with her right from the night he met her on this terrace, but he thought it would be just an infatuation initially, after having some soulful conversation he says that she's in love with her. While he's about to convey her she interrupts says that she would like to hear those words from him at a particular place at a particular time, where she would be waiting for him, and then she asked to confess the same in that situation. He agreed! 

The day had come, he arrived an hour earlier at the place where Smruthi had mentioned on that night it was racecourse a famous couple spot in their town. As the clock hit 5 pm and he couldn't see her around, as she said to him that she would be coming there at that time. The clock ticked around it's 8 pm then he couldn't find her though, with a disappointed face he walks home by thinking that she might have had some work or last min meeting in her office, maybe that's why she couldn't make her presence there. 

At that night in their terrace, though he had felt some disappointment. He didn't show his upset or anger on her. As she could feel him, she again promises him to come there the next day and this time she wouldn't disappoint him. As the next day comes, Vijay goes to the same spot and waited for her throughout the night. Even this time she didn't turn up to meet him. He gets fed up and frustrated over this, as he walked to his home after waiting all over the night in that spot where Smruthi asked to come. He saw her coming from her apartment front gate with a handbag in her hand. 

He walks towards her and asks her in a very arrogant way, "Pudikala na Pudikala nu solla vendithane, adhenna oruthana wait panna vechu feel panna vekkuringa" (If you don't like me pls say it on my face, rather don't ask me to wait in a public place like a fool) as he shouts, she's asking him to be calm, she's asking him what was the conversation is all about,

 He shouts again

 "Oh neenga enta ipo modhalla irundhu kekuringala, Ipo nadandhadhuu edhume theriyadhu nee yarune theriyadhu nu poi solli thapikka poringa ila ?" (Oh, now you're asking me to say from first and then you will disclose this by saying that I'm bluffing right ?) 

She said, neenga sollula nalum andhu unmai dhan Vijay

 (Even if you denied to say about that conversation, it is true that I haven't confessed anything to you regarding this)

 He gets shocked, she pulls his hand and takes him to her flat. There her mom makes a pooja arrangement on their home, as she and Vijay enter their home, her mom calls her with a name called Sruthi, Vijay doubtly asking her mom, aunty ? this is Smruthi, right?

 Her mom signs no and starts crying. Saying that Smruthi was her daughter and this is Sruthi her younger sister. Both of them are identical twins, she's the one who came out of my womb first and she's the one who left my world first. Today is her birthday every year she used to be with us and we would be going out and having fun but today …., she cries. After hearing this Vijay sees a photo that has been kept on their house and gets shocked. Suddenly he has been striking his mind with an incident that happened a year back he recalls the conversation he had with Smruthi during college, he remembers their lovely days, their final conversation they had during their bike ride, and also about that accident which costed Smruthi's life.

 Yes now, Vijay had retrieved his lost memory.

He slowly walks out of his home, cries all day, as usual waiting for the night to come. He isn't scared about going to their terrace that night, because after all Smruthi was the love of his life and all these days she appeared in front of him just to make him realize her loss that's all. When he's about to listen to their favorite Ennadi Maayavi nee song, Sruthi comes to the terrace and stands behind Vijay. Vijay casually sees her and Sruthi says, I'm not Smruthi ! yes I know he said, even though you both are identical twins I could sense Smruthi. Your presence doesn't give me a feel that her soul would give he said. 

She further said that she's been seeing him talking alone for quite a few days, also his friends. On that morning they were confessing the same to me as well. We tried to confess the same to you, but we were scared of what might happen next. I just came to say this to you, the reason we moved to New flat is only because we couldn't able over come her loss, her memories were haunting us. And it was her wish to be in this flat so we wished to fullfill that atleast, she said. Smruthi was there in your life, in our life but now she's no more. Try to accept this reality and move on, take care and Sruthi moved on from that place. 

As Vijay already started having tears on his eyes rolling over his cheeks before it falls down, he started to sing his and Smruthi's favorite song. 

Hey, en thalaikerura pon thadam podura, en uyir aadura. 

as he sings, he sensed that she's somewhere near to him by closing his eyes but he couldn't see her. In the terrace without being visible to Vijay, Smruthi was tuck sitting in the corner of that terrace and silently having tears, a point of raindrop kissed his cheeks when he finished the line 

"Ennadi Nee Maayavi nee" …
