CSK vs PBKS | Match No.11 Preview & CSK Playing XI Prediction - IPL 2022

Finally, the winning streak of the chasing teams has come to end in the doubleheader game held yesterday. So far 10 matches have been played by the teams and out of which the first 8 matches the team which won the toss have chosen to field first and chased the targets successfully in their games.

But, the scene has completely changed in yesterday's MI vs RR and GT vs DC matches. The chasing team lost the matches back to back in the doubleheaders.

Today, the defending champions Chennai Super Kings to take Punjab Kings on their 3rd game of this season at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai. Fans expect this to be a comeback game for CSK, as they lost their first two games of this season which has never happened before in their IPL history.

The team is slightly on an edge of a track to pick their best playing XI for the season, as their predominant bowler Deepak Chahar yet to join the team and even the mild injury of the Kiwi pacer Adam Milne had been a drawback to them in the last match. I heard that even Chris Jordan has been under a treatment and is not fit to play for this match. Situations don't seem like favoring CSK at the moment.

Their batting was completely fine with the game they played against LSG. But the lack of wicket-taking opportunities built pressure on them and had forced them to give an over to Shivam Dube in their last match where he bowled all the balls on the slot and gave away 25 easy runs in one over, which cost them a match against LSG.

The team deliberately wants a wicket-taking bowler in their squad now, because according to the NCA report, Deepak Chahar is likely to be fit & available to join the team only after 2 weeks from now. Till then, Rajvardhan would be one brilliant choice for the team, as the youngster can bowl 140+kmph and the team requires such a speedster at the moment. Hopefully, he gets a chance to play in today's match.

When it comes to Shivam Dube, will he be dropped from the squad? The answer would be "Definitely Not" because he has been brilliant with the bat, the only worrying part was his bowling, maybe they could utilize him in the middle overs to avoid run leaks at the end.

Coming to Mukesh Choudhary and Tushar Deshpande, these two youngsters could have bowled even better with the proper line and lengths but it's too early to judge someone with just one or two matches they have played.

Toss matters the most for the Chennai Super Kings team, even if they lose and are forced to bat first. They should score comfortable runs on the board and convert the catch and runout opportunities into wickets to defeat the opponents.

My Playing XI Prediction would be :

Ruturaj Gaikwad
Robin Uthappa
Moeen Ali ✈️
Ambati Rayadu
Shivam Dube
Ravindra Jadeja (C)
MS Dhoni (WK)
DJ Bravo ✈️
Dwaine Pretorius ✈️
Rajvardhan Hangargekar / Adam Milne ✈️
KM Asif

This team has the depth batting and bowling for CSK. KM Asif is someone we can look for, he hasn't got enough games to play with, but with the proper line and length along with the pace he bowls, surely he can do miracles for the team.
