Lucknow Super Giants vs Chennai Super Kings | Game Preview & CSK's Playing XI Prediction | Match No 7 - IPL 2022
Chennai Super Kings to take the newly added Lucknow Super Giants on the 6th day (March 31st) of Indian Premier League's 15th edition.
Both the teams have lost their first match and they would be urged to start their winning momentum in the tournament. The defending champions faced KKR in their opening game and succumbed to a 6 wickets defeat and the LSG lost to Gujarat Titians by 5 wickets. So far six matches have been played by the teams and in all the games it's the chasing side who have won the matches.
Chennai Super Kings Pros & Cons:
On paper, CSK has a balancing playing XI in the tournament. Their bowling and fielding have been good in their first game, but they're missing few wicket-taking bowlers in their squad. Their first wicket against KKR came from Dwayne Bravo, that too after the 6th over, bowlers like Tushar Deshpande and Adam Milne should help the team with a few wicket-taking chances in the initial overs for CSK. The top five batsmen of CSK have been a worry for their fans. But, to not forget the team has missed two of their match-winning players Moeen Ali and Deepak Chahar.
As Moeen Ali completed his three days of isolation and joined the team on Monday (Mar 28, 2022). He's highly expected to be in the playing XI for the upcoming games. And, Deepak Chahar has already been in NCA Bengaluru, he's likely expected to join the team as soon as he clears the fitness test.
According to my prediction, the team might not make lots of changes in the squad except for Mitchell Santner's position. If at all they feel like making another change then Tushar might be benched and either Rajvardhan or Mukesh Choudhary the Left Arm Medium pacer likely to make his debut.Earlier CSK had posted a photo where he(Mukesh Choudhary) seems like getting a tips from Thala (MS Dhoni), also the franchise have even gave us a hint as "Thala calls out tomorrow for the Yellove's and whistles" written on their caption. It may be a generic post, or could have been posted to confuse the opponents about the playing XI, who knows, anyhow we have to wait until they announce it. But, CSK might use Rajvardhan as a surprise factor in the crucial part of the tournament.
My CSK's Playing XI Prediction :
Ruturaj Gaikwad
Devon Conway ✈️
Moeen Ali ✈️
Robin Uthappa
Ambati Rayadu
Ravindra Jadeja (C)
Shivam Dube
MS Dhoni (WK)
Dwayne Bravo ✈️
Tushar Deshpande
Adam Milne ✈️
This squad looks well balanced in all the departments. There might be a case where Devon Conway would get replaced by Moeen Ali and Santner could stay back into the squad. But, following CSK all these years. These changes occur only on a rare phenomenon.
Lucknow Super Giants Pros and Cons:
They too have a balancing playing XI for the tournament. Their top-order batsmen might get back to form on any given day. It's not safe & good to judge their batting by witnessing the only match they played.I beleive no changes would be made in their playing XI for tomorrow's match.
Brabourne Stadium: Leaving all the past records of the ground aside. After seeing the first match it hosted this season, DC vs MI the pitch seems to be batsmen friendly, there are chances for the first batting team to score a comfortable 170 and above. Since it's going to be a night match, the chasing team will utilize the benefits of the dew factor as usual.
What matters the most is the toss.
Let's keep our fingers crossed and see which team starts their winning journey tomorrow.
